Project: Pocket Altar
A downloadable game for Windows
Project: Pocket Altar is a tarot reading and witch altar simulator.
Inspired by TableTop Sim in style. I wanted it to feel open for you to mess around with the cards, play with them, or just give yourself a reading.
Right now only the major arcana are included, but in the full version there will of course be a full deck.
I'm rebuilding this from scratch, unfortunately without a team this time (aside from a friend who is re-writing the descriptions and such).
Made in Unreal 5 using only the blueprints system. I had a couple of people help with my troubleshooting, but other than that, I used tutorials and had to come up with the rest myself. I'm not a programmer, and I'm absolutely open to becoming friends with someone who would love to help and bring the full version of this idea to reality. I'm a director and an artist first. My place as a game and art director in the capstone project is why I also had to be the programmer. No one else in that semester's class wanted to program a game.
I have to redo all of the art for the cards, and fix the assets because the first time around I had collision issues. I want to change the UI, get drag and drop working, and allow for space customization.
The finished version of this tarot sim is still the "demo" version of a proper game I'm working on, but we need this proof of concept to be finished first.
